I suck at introductions. I also get tired of repeating things. I like trying new things. This is why I’m starting off introductions this way:
Hello, everyone. This isn't exactly a newsletter. It's a mix of my review of Johnny Drille's The Best Part and a few love notes on my favourite lines. I hope you enjoy it.
P.S, I have a little something for you at the end. If you’re a fan of love notes, read until the very end.
I watched JD and Rima’s video and my chest wanted to cut. 😩 The King of the best love songs found love and it’s so sweet.🥹
For someone who got nicknamed : President of S.P.A(Single People’s Association), I can’t wait to find my love too. Maybe I’d mimic JD and announce when I’m married.😂
I write love notes so a number of persons have been asking when I’d find my love too, imagine coming out with that kind of surprise. Ha!😂 epic.
Like I said earlier, I write beautiful love notes. I've written to the point that I've had to answer questions about who my muse was and my response was:
fifi imagination.🎶
“THE BEST PART” LYRICS NOTES
1. When JD said “it's been one hell of a ride doing life with you.” I think that line reasonates with our story. I wouldn't have chosen to be with anyone else but you. Our story, our lives intertwined is the very best part. Can we skip to the best part and get married? I want to spend my forever with you in it. I want you wake up with you by my side and go to bed with you in it. I want to wave you goodbye when I rush to work in the morning and still go on to text you every bit of my day as I move along with it. I want to anticipate coming home and my heart giddy with relish as I imagine the excitement that would fill your face when you get to see the gift I bought you on my way home. I want to hold your right hand in my left hand and walk side by side with you while the calming waves of the beach soothes our ears. I want to do life with you in it. Life with you in it.. would be a dream come true. So, I ask you again, bubba, “Can we skip to the best part.. and do life together?”
2. When JD said “And if there’s another life, I’d do it with you.” Yet again, you slipped into my mind like you always do. This time, the thought doesn’t tiptoe or slide in, it jumps at my face and I picture a photo of you laughing with your eyes glistening with tears from laughing too hard. My heart threatens to fall out of the enclosed area that protects it because there’s too much joy from seeing that face. A side glance from you makes my heart quicken, a “I will call you when I get home” makes me smile and my body quickens with anticipation from getting to hear from you again. If there’s indeed another life, I’d choose to do it with you.. again and again.
3. When JD said “I know we don’t have forever, But girl I'm gonna give you all of me.” It reminded me of the ever silent promises I whisper into your ears every time we meet. It reminded me of those long calls we always make and those doses of silent moments in between bouts of laughter and premium gists and I’d silently whisper that “I’d keep doing this.. with you.” It reminded me of the times you’d tell me to wait for you at the bus stop, that you’re coming to get me and when I see you running towards me because you’re late, I’d fake an exasperated laugh but still smile to myself thinking: “how did I get so lucky?” It also reminded me that life is so short and for every moment we get to spend together albeit in person, over the phone, doing one of our favorite things to do together, I’d do it with all of me. I’d give you the best part of myself without getting tired. I know we don’t have forever but I will give you the very best part of myself for as long as I shall live.
The notes are written by me. 🥰 I'm genuinely happy for JD and I wish him and his beautiful wife a happy married life.❤️
